The Native American Media Alliance (NAMA) is a new initiative designed to advocate for Native American representation in the entertainment industry. The Nickelodeon Writing Program is a television scriptwriting fellowship run by Nickelodeon to discover and develop diverse comedic writing talent. Founded in 2000, it serves as a training pipeline into the network’s animated and live-action shows, helping emerging writers launch professional television careers. The program’s primary goal is to prepare writers for staffing positions on Nickelodeon series.
